Good morning gang and welcome to the Wednesday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today (Sept, 21, 2016) is Canadian singer, songwriter, poet and novelist, Leonard Cohen's 83rd Birthday . To mark this day we give his 6th studio album, Recent Songs, a listen. Released in 1979 on the Columbia label the LP heralded a return to Cohen's acoustic folk music, (with a splash of jazz and Oriental influences thrown in ) after a somewhat disappointing outing with his last album ,  Death of a Ladies' Man, that was produced by Phil Spektor. Critics called that record, the lowpoint of Leonard's career.  Recent Songs reached #24 in Australia and hit #56  Germany.
