Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate Dutch guitarist and vocalist, George Kooymans, best known for his work in Golden Earring, as he celebrates his 73rd Birthday. Happy Birthday George. Golden Earring's first live album, appropriately titled Live, was recorded at the Rainbow Thatre in London, and then released later that year in 1977 on the MCA label. The double album reached #203 in America and #1 in the Netherlands. The Sides are divided as First Heat, Second Heat, Third Heat, and Heat Four (Want More) . Sadly, last month, the band announced they would be disbanding after George Kooymans signaled his retirement after an ALS diagnosis.
