Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we bring you a Two For Tuesday of sorts , with this compilation double album from Warner Special Products series, Superstars Of The 70's, Heavy Metal - 24 Electrifying Performances Volume 2, by various artists. This 1974 set is a joy to listen to. It ranges from anthems you are familiar with by the likes of Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, MC5, Hendrix, Deep Purple and so on, and then hidden gems like, the Grateful Dead covering "Johnny B. Goode" and Buffalo Springfield with the song "Bluebird" which Google could not even identify. T.Rex is represented with their signature song " Bang A Gong" and we take this moment to remember their bassist Steve Currie, who passed away on this day in 1981, age 33, from a car accident. We don't have have cover for these album, so I'll include a stock photo so we know what it looks like.
