Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Boston born guitarist and vocalist, Erik Brann, best known for his work with Psychedelic acid rockers, Iron Butterfly, on this, the 18th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 2003, age 52, from cardiac arrest. With him in mind, we spotlight the band's 4th studio album, Metamorphosis. Brann doesn't appear on the album, so we remember him in absentia. Metamorphosis was released August 13, 1970 on the Atco label and produced by Richard Podolor . The LP peaked at #16 on the Billboard 200 and spawned one single, "Easy Rider" (#66 Hot 100). It was their first album to include new members Mike Pinera and Larry " El Rhino" Reinhardt.
