Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we celebrate the 76th Birthday of Ohio born drummer, Jim Fox (James Kent Fox) best known as the founder and namesake for the rock band, James Gang. Happy Birthday Jim ! With him in mind, we spotlight the group's only live album, James Gang Live in Concert. The LP was recorded May 15, 1971 at Carnegie Hall and released in September of the same year on the ABC label. It was produced by the band with Bill Szymczyk , who also serves as engineer. It peaked at #25 in Canada and #24 in the US. This would be their last album to feature Joe Walsh.
On a side note Jim Fox is an avid license plate collector and is an officer of the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association and authored the most prominent published work within the hobby, License Plates of the United States. His collection numbers over 30,000.
