Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we celebrate the 68th Birthday of Gary, Indiana native, vocalist, and bassist, Jermaine Jackson, best known for his work along with his Brothers, in the Jackson 5. To get his party started, we find ourselves spinning his tenth studio album, released internationally as Dynamite and in the States as Jermaine Jackson. Ours is the US version. The LP was released April 14, 1984 on the Arista label and produced by Jermaine Jackson, Michael Omartian, Richard Rudolph, and Clive Davis. It peaked at #65 in Australia, #57 in the UK, #38 in New Zealand, #27 in Sweden, #21 in the Netherlands, #19 on the Billboard 200, and #1 on the Top R&B Albums. It has been certified in both the US and Canada. Three singles were release ;  "Dynamite" (#28 in Australia, #20 Dance Club Songs, #15 Hot 100, #8  Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs),  "Do What You Do" (#40 West Germany, #14 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, #13 Hot 100, #12 France, #6 UK, #4 Netherlands, #1 Belguim and  Billboard Adult Contemporary)  and "When The Rain Begins To Fall" (does not appear on our copy). Joining Jermaine of the disc our his Brothers Michael, Tito and Randy, as well as a relative unknown at the time singer, Whitney Houston, who duets with Jermaine on the song,"Take Good Care of My Heart", which would also appear on her debut album, about a year later.
