Today we remember Sylacauga, Alabama native, actor, singer, and comedian, Jim Nabors (James Thurston Nabors), on what would have been his 93rd Birthday . He died on November 30, 2017, aged 87, at his home in Honolulu, Hawaii, from a suppressed immune system. Known for his beloved character Gomer Pyle on both the The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., Nabors also had a rich baritone singing voice that he utilized on his numerous albums, such as this one, The Jim Nabors Hour. The LP was released in 1970 on the Columbia label and reached #34 on the Billboard 200 and saw two singles released ; "Love Me With All Your Heart" and "You Don't Know Me". "It's My Life" and "Tomorrow Never Comes" were both released as singles.
