Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we ecstatically wish English guitarist, Eric Patrick Clapton CBE , a very Happy 77th Birthday. Happy Birthday Eric ! With him in mind, we spotlight this double album, Back To The Roots by John Mayhall. The LP was released March 1971 on Polydor Records and produced by Mayhall himself. It peaked at #44 in Australia and #31 in the UK. At some point John decided to have a reunion of sorts inviting former members of his band to perform on the album, including Clapton and Rolling Stones guitarist, Mick Taylor. The end result was 18 tracks of goodtime rock and blues.
