STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - NIRVANA - BLEACH

Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we wish Santa Rosa, California native, drummer, bassist, and vocalist, Chad Channing, best known for his work on Nirvana's debut album Bleach, a very Happy 56th Birthday. Happy Birthday Chad ! He was born in 1967 to parents Wayne, a radio disc jockey and  and Burnyce Channing. Chad joined Nirvana in June 1988, just in time to play on their aforementioned debut and that record, Bleach is our subject of sound today. The LP was released June 15, 1989 on Sub Pop Records and produced by Legendary grunge producer, Jack Endino. The recording took 30 ours and the band received a bill for $606.17. Bleach initially reached  #37 on the Progressive Retail charts, #22 on College Radio, #13 on the New Musical Express and #8 on The Media Research Information Bureau. The latter two are UK surveys. "Lovebuzz", a cover of the Dutch rock band Shocking Blue's 1969 hit, and "Blew" were released as singles. I bought our copy in 2005 at Webster's Flea Market. It was still stilled until recently. I opened it December 26th, 2022 and recorded an Awkward Openings of it and gave a little more info on why, and will include a link to that below, if you like those sort of things. This is my most favorite Nirvana album and one of my favorite albums of all time. I own cassette copies and well as different reissues on CD. It was a BIG influence on my original music.
