Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we joyfully celebrate the 91st Birthday of Thousandsticks, Kentucky native, veteran, mandolinist, and vocalist, Bobby Osborne, best known for his work in the bluegrass band, along with his brother, Sonny in the Osborne Brothers. Happy Birthday Bobby ! With him in mind, we throw a light on the Brothers' 14th studio album, Fastest Grass Alive. The LP was released released in 1974 on the MCA label and peaked at #40 on the Top Country Albums chart. Two singles were released from the 11 track record ; "Lizzie Lou" (#66 Hot Country Songs) and "Blue Heartache" (#64 Hot Country Songs). They were active until 2005 when Sonny retired and in 20121 he passed away. Bobby teaches at the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music and performs with his band, the Rocky Top X-Press.
