Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Canadian-American bandleader, orchestrator, composer and conductor, Percy Faith, on the 47th anniversary of his passing. He was born the oldest of 8 children on April 7, 1908 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to parents Abraham and Minnie Faith. He passed away in 1976, age 67, from cancer. Initially as a child he played violin and piano, but after a fire that left his hands badly burnt, he turned to conducting. During his 40 year career, he became synonymous with the term 'easy listening' and placed 21 albums on the Billboard Hot 200. Today we shine a light on his 1974 CBS Records release, The Entertainer.
