Good morning Tuesday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Prince Rogers Nelson, the iconic  singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician, record producer, dancer, actor, and filmmaker, simply known the world over as Prince, on this, the 4th anniversary of his death. He overdosed accidentally on fentanyl, at age 57. To honor his legacy, we spotlight his  9th album, Sign O' The Times. The double LP was released March 30, 1987 on the Paisley Park and Warner Bros. labels and produced by Prince.  It combined various styles such as R&B funk, soul, rock, avant and psychedelic pop. The album reached #6 on the Billboard 200, #4 on the R&B charts, and #1 in Switzerland. Four singles were released ; the title track (#3 Hot 100, #1  Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs), "If I Was Your Girlfriend" (#67 Hot 100), "U Got The Look" (#2 Hot 100), and "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" (#10 Hot 100). This was purchased last year at Lakeland's premier record store, Jesse Carl Vinyl.
