Good morning, morning people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we take the time to wish former Redbone drummer, Butch Rillera, a very Happy 75th Birthday. Happy Birthday Butch ! This is the part where I usually cue up the record, but upon listening to the record, their 4th one, Already Here,  I realized that Butch would not join the band until a year later. It was such a good album, that I did not let that stand in the way. I figured since he was with the band for the next 4 years, there's a good chance he played on many of these songs live, so yeah ...

Redbone is/was a funk n soul Native American/Cajun rock band. They were inducted into the Native American Music Association Hall of Fame in 2008 and the NY Smithsonian in 2013. 

Already Here was released on the Epic label in 1972 and produced by Pat Vegas, Lolly Vegas, and Alex Kazanegra. The LP failed to chart, but two singles, "Fais Do" (#6 Netherlands) and "Poison Ivy" (#51 Netherlands) did. Our copy is a radio station promotional copy with 'Property of W.H.C.R. written on the front cover and the affixed Epic white label on the back. cover. When I search  W.H.C.R., I get results for 90.3, The Voice Of Harlem ...

The copy was bought years ago at the legendary J.R.'s Junk Trunk.
