Good morning , morning people and welcome to the Father's Day 2021 edition, otherwise known as Sunday. Like a lot of people, my Dad passed away years ago. We had a rocky relationship at times but they are good memories as well. We went to WCW wrestling events, enjoyed watching cop shows like Jake and The Fatman, Simon & Simon, and Wiseguy. His favorite movie was Roadhouse starring Patrick Swayze, which we must have watched a thousand times. We worked too. We had newspaper routes, we farmed,  we ran a full service gas station and a bait farm. But before all that my Dad and other family members were truck driving men. A lot of that mythology about road life and CB radios are part of the foundations of my worldview. So today I remember my Father in absentia with this 1978,  2 record set from Gusto Records, Road Music - Truck Driving Songs by various artists.

So, if your Father is still with us, consider giving him a call or a hug today. You only get so many of those in this life ....
