Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we are thrilled to wish Redford, Michigan native, guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader, Ted Nugent, a very Happy 74th Birthday. Happy Birthday Uncle Ted ! He is best known for his early work with The Amboy Dukes, his later records with the supergroup, Damn Yankees, and of course his solo work. With him in mind, we spotlight his fifth solo album, State Of Shock. The LP was released May 1979 on the Epic label and produced by Lew Futterman and Cliff Davies. The latter provides drums on the album as well as lead vocals on the disc's closer, "Saddle Sore". The record reached #57 in Australia, and #18 in both Canada and America. It's sole single, "I Want to Tell You", a cover of the Beatles' 1966 hit, did not chart.
