Good morning gang and welcome to Sunday and the Christmas Day edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again's Week Of Winter Wonderland Christmas Music Countdown ! It is finally here. Today we gather with our loved ones and celebrate the reason for the season as those shepherds did centuries before us when the Angel Of The Lord proclaimed :

“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

Our Christmas Day selection is Christmas At Boys Town by The Boys Town Choir With Gordon MacRae. The LP was released in 1978 on Sandcastle Records and was produced by Mark Cosmedy and Tom Morgan. On it we find New Jersey native, actor, singer and radio/television host, Gordon MacRae, best known for his performances in the film versions of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals Oklahoma! and Carousel teaming up with the Boys Town Choir from Father Flanagan's Boys' Home. You may remember Spencer Tracey's portrayal of Father Edward J. Flanagan from the 1938 biopic film Boys Town.
