We didn't want the week to get away without wishing Pennsylvania born vocalist, Tony Butala, best known for his work with male pop vocal trio, The Lettermen, a very Happy belated 81st Birthday. His Birthday was on Saturday (11/20/21) and we mark the occasion with The Lettermen's debut record, A Song For Young Love. The LP was released in 1062 on Capitol Records and produced by Nick Venet. It peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200. Four singles were released : The title track (#123 Cash Box), "The Way You Look Tonight" (#13 Hot 100, #8 Cash Box, #3 Adult Contemporary), "When I Fall In Love" (#13 Cash Box, #7 Hot 100, #1 Adult Contemporary), and "Come Back Silly Girl" (#19 Cash Box, #17 Hot 100, #2 Adult Contemporary).
