STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - THE OAK RIDGE BOYS - AT THEIR BEST

Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Georgia born baritone vocalist and multi - instrumentalist, Steve Sanders, best known for his work with The Oak Ridge Boys, on this, the 24th anniversary of his passing. He died in 1998, age 45, from a self inflicted gunshot wound. He joined the group in 1981 as a rhythm guitarist and in 1987 when baritone vocalist, William Lee Golden, left the group, Sanders took his place. He was with the group until 1995 and eventually William Lee Golden reclaimed his spot in the band and is still there unto this day. Our selection today is an early gospel album, so it does not have Sanders on it, but we remember him in absentia. At Their Best was released in 1966 on the United Artists label and produced by Gordon Stoker and Kelso Herston. Our copy is a Demonstration Copy and is stamped on the back cover.
