Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Our record of choice today is the second studio album by British post-punk band The The, Infected was released November 17, 1986 on the Some Bizzare and Epic Records. It was produced by Warne Livesey, vocalist and mainstay Matt Johnson, Roli Mosimann, and Gary Langan. The LP stayed on the charts for 30 weeks and peaked at #14 in the UK. It gave birth to four singles ;  "Heartland" (their highest charting single at #29 UK), the title track, "Infected" (UK #48),  "Slow Train to Dawn" (UK #64) and "Sweet Bird of Truth" (UK #55). This band has everything that makes this kind of music great. Equal parts The Clash/BAD2, Duran Duran, INXS, Billy Idol, The Smiths, Depeche Mode,  etc. A really enjoyable listen and highly recommended. We got this fine album at Lakeland's own, The Wax And The Needle.
