STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - URIAH HEEP - URIAH HEEP LIVE

Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. This week brought us the sad news that former Uriah Heep keyboardist, Ken Hensley had passed away after a short illness. He was 75. To honor his legacy we spotlight the English rock band's first live album, appropriately titled, Uriah Heep Live. The double LP was recorded January 26, 1973 at  Town Hall, Birmingham, England and then released in April of the same year on Bronze Records. It peaked at #37 on the Billboard 200, #23 in the UK, and #3 in Norway. The Gerry Bron produced discs gave birth to a sole single, "July Morning, written by Hensley and lead singer, David Byron and features Manfred Mann on Moog synthesizer. This album came from the now Legendary J.R.'s Junk Trunk.
