Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Indiana born country-rock musician, songwriter, and motion picture special effects artist, "Sneaky Pete" Kleinow, on this the 14th anniversary of his death. The steel pedal guitarist, best known as a member of The Flying Burrito Brothers as well as a sideman for many others including Neil Young, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, The Byrds, Joe Cocker, Rita Coolidge, Eagles, The Everly Brothers, George Harrison, The Steve Miller Band, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones, Ringo Starr, Stevie Wonder, Spencer Davis, Little Richard, Linda Ronstadt, passed away in 2007, age 72, after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The second album by the Flying Burrito Brothers, Burritos Deluxe, was released April 1970 on A&M and produced by Jim Dickson and Henry Lewy. The album was considered a commercial failure, failing to chart on the Billboard 200, like it's predecessor and follow up. The LP's sole single, "If You Gotta Go" did not chart either. This would be the last of their albums to feature Gram Parsons, as he would soon pursue a solo career.
