Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Former Israeli ambassador to the United States Michael B. Oren published a piece in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday in which he blamed the rocky relationship between American President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu squarely on Obama.
He also accused Obama of “abandoning Israel.” http://conservativetribune.com/israeli-ambassador-reveals/
Two days later, Daniel B. Shapiro, U.S. ambassador to Israel, reportedly called Netanyahu’s office to request that the prime minister “distance himself from Oren’s commentary.”
However, Netanyahu rightfully refused to comply. Instead one of his senior officials told reporters that the prime minister “had no intention of apologizing for anything Oren wrote.”
The official also expressed curiosity at the fact “that the U.S. administration is concerned about remarks by a former Israeli government official” but remained dead silent when former U.S. officials spoke negatively about Netanyahu.
For instance, the administration said nothing in October when an anonymous Obama official insulted Netanyahu by referring to him as a “chickensh**.” http://conservativetribune.com/netanyahu-responds-insult-obama/
Regardless, Oren also alleged “that Obama personally undermined U.S. relations with Israel by allowing private quarrels to become public.”
Take for instance the way in which Obama purposefully and publicly chose to not attend Netanyahu’s speech to Congress in March of 2015. Obama then later dismissed what the prime minister said as “nothing new.” http://conservativetribune.com/netanyahus-biblical-speech/
The fact is that everything Oren wrote was true, which is why Netanyahu shouldn’t apologize for it. Unfortunately, not everybody in his administration agreed.
According to The Washington Post, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan went ahead and apologized anyway on the basis that Oren’s observations “do not match the reality.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/netanyahu-refuses-t...
Actually, Oren’s observations do match reality, and that’s the point.
Please share this post on Facebook to let the world know that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu never allows himself to be bullied into submission by anyone, including President Barack Hussein Obama. http://conservativetribune.com/netanyahus-brilliant-response/
