Limbaugh: Wendy Davis May Have 'Committed Perjury' in Bio

Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh on Monday skewered Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis for fudging her life story to paint herself as a self-made teenage mother — alleging she may have committed "perjury in furtherance of her myth-making."

"Her story . . . just isn't true. She's a liberal Democrat," Limbaugh told listeners, according to a transcript of the show.

"They make things up. They lie, just like Hillary and Obama lied about a video in Benghazi . . . She lied about her life story."

"She lived a luxury lifestyle," he said. "She had a big house, private schools for her kids. The divorce allegations of her adultery, the loss of custody of the two daughters and the fact that she was ordered to pay spousal support, why, all of this is shocking and new. We didn't know any of this before. Do you know how hard it is for a mother to lose custody these days?"

Limbaugh said that in relating her biography, Davis "might have committed perjury in furtherance of her myth-making."

After a Dallas Morning News story Monday questioned the details of the biography Davis touts on the stump, she acknowledged problems with her public version.
