First up on our calendar of cake is English singer-songwriter and drummer, Jim Capaldi, best known for his work in the progressive rock band Traffic. He was born on this day in 1944 in Evesham, Worcestershire, England and passed away January 28, 2005, age 60, from stomach cancer. Today would have been his 79th Birthday. It was written and originally released by Hall & Oates for their debut album, Whole Oats. Their version did not chart, but Jim's take landed at #42 on the Adult Contemporary charts.
