SATURDAY'S SINGLES : URIAH HEEP and QUEENSRYCHE

Good morning gang and welcome to the return of Saturday's Singles, a Birthday edition. First up we take you back to the year 1947 in Epping, Essex, England, when future Uriah Heep vocalist,  David Byron. He would have celebrated his 75 Birthday today, but he passed away in 1985, age 38  of alcohol-related complications, including liver disease and seizures. He was with the group he co founded from 1969–1976 and sung on ten albums, including their seventh one Wonderworld, which birthed the single, "Something Or Nothing" . The tune was released May 10, 1974 on Bronze Records and produced by Gerry Bron, who was the former manger of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. It peaked at #45 in Germany, #25 in Finland, and #6 in Norway. The track was originally paired with "What Can I Do" as it's B-side, but our copy is a Promotional copy with "Something Or Nothing" on both sides.
