STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - JEFFERSON STARSHIP - WINDS OF CHANGE

Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember vocalist, guitarist and co founder of both Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship, Paul Kantner, on this, the 6th anniversary of his passing. He died in 2016, age 74 after suffering a heart attack, Coincidently on the same day, Airplane co-founder Signe Toly Anderson also died, also at age 74 from COPD. To honor their memories, we spotlight Jefferson Airplane's 7th studio album Wind Of Change. The LP was released October 4, 1982 on the Grunt label and produced by Kevin Beamish. The record reached #26 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified Gold in the US. It's singles were three and these are those : the title track (#38 Hot 100, #18 Mainstream Rock), "Be My Lady" (#33 Mainstream Rock, #28 Hot 100) and "Can't Find Love" (#16 Mainstream Rock). The track "Out of Control" was released as a video, but not a single. This album featured a re united line up of sorts as Grace Slick had recently rejoined the band.
