STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - BEE GEES - TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember British musician, singer, songwriter and record producer, Maurice Ernest Gibb CBE, best known for his work in the 'brother band', the Bee Gees, on this, the 19th anniversary of his passing. He died in 2003, age 53, as of a twisted intestine, which caused him to go into cardiac arrest. We honor his legacy by spinning the 10th album from the group, To Whom It May Concern . The LP was released October 1972 on the Polydor label and produced by  Robert Stigwood and the Bee Gees. It reached #53 in Japan, #50 in Canada, #35 on the Billboard 200, #13 in Australia, and #6 in Spain. Three singles were released ; "Run to Me" (#11 Cash Box, #10 Argentina, Denmark, #9 UK, Record World,  #8 Canada Adult Contemporary, Spain, #6 Billboard Easy Listening, Canada, New Zealand, #5 Italy, #3 South Africa,  Australia, #2 Brazil, #1Bangkok), "Alive" (#45 Australia, #34 Hot 100, #33 Record World, #28 Canada, #20 Easy Listening, #17 Netherlands) and "Sea Of Smiling Faces" (Japan only- did not chart). Our copy is a English pressing that has a sticker indicating that indicates "Run To Me" has been omitted. It's listed on the album cover but not the label and indeed it does not appear on this copy. Inside the gatefold there is a pop up style representation of the band.
