We didn't want the week to get away without wishing Sir Roderick David Stewart CBE, known the world over as simply, Rod Stewart a very Happy belated Birthday. The British rock and pop singer, songwriter, and record producer was born in 1945 and celebrated his 77th Birthday, yesterday (01/10/22) . Happy Birthday Rod ! With him in mind we spotlight his sixth studio album, Atlantic Crossing. The LP was released August 15, 1975 on Warner Brothers Records and produced by Tom Dowd. It peaked at #21 in Canada, #18 in Spain, #11 in Germany, #9 on the Billboard 200, #5 in Sweden, #2 in the Netherlands and New Zealand, and #1 in the UK. It has been certified Gold in the US. Three singles were released from the 10 track disc ; "Sailing" (#4 Germany, #3 New Zealand, #2 Australia, Belgium, South Africa, Switzerland, #1 Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, UK), "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)" (#83 Hot 100, #41 Germany, #4 UK, #3 Ireland), and "I Don't Want to Talk About It" (#51 Canada, #44 Germany, US Adult Contemporary, #36 Belgium, #4 Ireland, #3 Netherlands, #2 New Zealand, #1 UK). The sides of the album are labeled Fast Side and Slow Side.
