STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - BURL IVES - IT'S JUST MY FUNNY WAY OF LAUGHIN'

Good Friday morning gang and welcome back to the Good Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . We didn't want the week to get away without mentioning  that yesterday wasn't only Loretta Lynn's 90th Birthday but it was also the 27th anniversary of the passing of Burl Icle Ivanhoe Ives, the singer, musician, actor, and author, that you and I simply know as Burl Ives. The Illinois native died in 1995, age 85, from cancer. With him in mind, we spotlight his 1962 Decca Records record, It's Just My Funny Way Of Laughin'. The LP peaked at #24 On Billboard's Pop Albums chart, while the title track, a cover of the Hank Cochran classic, reached #10 on the Pop Singles Chart, #9 on the Country Singles Chart and #3 on Billboard's Contemporary Adult Singles Chart and "Call Me Mr. In-Between" reached #19 on the Pop Singles Chart, #6 on the Contemporary Adult Singles Chart, and #3 on the Country Singles Chart.
