His second album, Elton John, and the first to be released in America, was released April 10th, 1970, on the Uni label and was produced by Gus Dudgeon. The LP peaked at #5 in the UK, #4 in Canada, Australia, and America, and #2 in the Netherlands. It has been certified Gold. "Border Song" (#92 Hot 100, #34 Canada, #25 Netherlands) and "Your Song" (#10 Netherlands, #9 Adult Contemporary, #8 Hot 100, #7 UK, #3 Canada) were released as singles.
