Good mourning my victims, err I mean guests and welcome to the Halloween 2022 edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again's All Halloweekend Countdown Of Spooktacular And Sinister Sounds. It's finally here and with that our last selection of the season. Halloween Horrors: The Sounds Of Halloween (And Other Useful Effects) was released in 1977 on the A&M label and was written and produced by J. Robert Elliot. Side A is comprised of the the story Halloween Horror, where a young man is driving on Halloween night and stops at a gas station to ask for directions to the Elm Hall Plantation, which he has recently inherited. The attendant, voiced by Peter Cullen, (best known as the voice of Optimus Prime in the early Transformers cartoons as well as the movies) advises the traveler to steer clear of the mansion on a night like this but he does not heed the advice and drives on. Upon arriving at his destination the man (voiced by Michael Bell who has many voice acting credits under his belt, including Grouchy Smurf, Lazy Smurf, Handy Smurf,  Prowl, Scrapper, Sideswipe, Bombshell, First Aid, Swoop, Gort, Brainstorm and Doctor Fujiyama in The Transformers and The Transformers: The Movie, Duke, Xamot, Blowtorch and numerous others in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and G.I. Joe: The Movie, and Lance & Sven in Voltron: Defender of the Universe ) notices an open window and for an instance swears he sees a light inside. Shortly after entering the man is overwhelmed by ghostly voices and visions, even an organ playing itself. Soon it is all too much and the young man flees the property post haste. 

Side B of the disc features an introduction by Peter Cullen to the spooky sounds effects that follow.
