STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - JOE COCKER - MADS DOGS & ENGLISHMEN

Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember English singer and songwriter Joe Cocker who passed away 7 years ago on December 22, 2014, age 70, from lung cancer. We honor his legacy by spinning the double live album, Mad Dogs & Englishmen. The LP was recorded March 27–28, 1970 at the  Fillmore East, in New York City, and then released in August of that same year. It was produced by Denny Cordell and Leon Russell. It peaked at #20 in Norway, #16 in the UK, #9 in the Netherlands, #2 on the Billboard 200 and Cash Box charts, and #1 in Australia. In addition to the Cocker originals, Joe and the band cover The Rolling Stones, Leonard Cohen, Julie London, The Coasters, Delaney and Bonnie, and more.
