Good morning gang and welcome back to another Metal Monday, here at Stuck In The Vinyl Again. that's right we liven things up and get your week started properly with a little mandatory metal . Our featured disc today is this 1984 Metal Sampler from Capitol Records. It is a Promotional Copy that features two songs off of Iron Maiden's Powerslave, three songs off Helix's Walkin' the Razor's Edge, two songs of W.AS.P.'s self titled debut, and last but not least, three songs from The Warning LP by Queensrÿche. Our secondary reason for featuring this compilation is today marks what would have been the 69th Birthday of Helix guitarist, Paul Hackman. He was born in 1952 and passed away July 5, 1992, age 38, after a tour bus accident. Recently there was terrible news out of the Helix camp as one of their guitarists, Daniel Fawcett, who played with the group between 2002 and 2004, was found murdered in Ontario. May both guitarists rest in peace.
