Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate Brooklyn based New Wave front woman, Patty Smyth, best known as the voice of Scandal, as she celebrates her 63rd Birthday. Happy Birthday Patty ! To commemorate the date, we spotlight their self titled debut EP. Scandal was released in 1982 on the Columbia label and produced by Vini Poncia amd  Rick Chertoff. It reached #39 on the Billboard 200 and spawned three singles ;  "Goodbye to You" (#65 Hot 100, #5 Mainstream Rock), "Love's Got A Line On You" (#59 Hot 100, # 28 Mainstream Rock), and the Bryan Adams' cover "Win Some, Lose Some", which lost and failed to chart. The EP features David Letterman's bandleader,  Paul Shaffer on keyboards.
