Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. It was on this day back in 1987 that the Steve Miller Band received their Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. To mark the occasion we spotlight the band's thirteenth studio album, Italian X Rays. Italian X Rays was released in 1984 on the Capitol label and produced by Steve Miller himself. The LP peaked at #106 on the Billboard 200, #88 in Canada, and #49 in Sweden. Three singles were released from the record; "Shangri-La" (#84 Canada, #57 Hot 100), the title track which failed to chart, and "Bongo Bongo" (#84 Hot 100). I lie the sound on this album, but I tend to gravitate towards 80s production standards. Here is the technical recording stuff from the back cover :
