Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we joyfully wish  Massachusetts born drummer, Stephen Jo Bladd, best known for his work in The J. Geils Band, a very Happy 78th Birthday. Happy Birthday Stephen ! With him in mind, we spotlight the sixth studio album by the group, Hotline. Hotline was released on September 9, 1975, by Atlantic Records and produced  Bill Szymczyk, Allan Blazek, and keyboardist Seth Justman. The LP peaked at #36 on the Billboard 200. The opening track, "Love-Itis", originally recorded by Harvey Scales and The Seven Sounds, was released as a single, but as far as I can tell, failed to chart. The album cover is cool. It's a two part cover designed like a old school telephone and you can actually lift up the receiver, ("I'll make you a believer") as shown in the picture section.
