STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - WALTER BRENNAN - THE COUNTRY HEART OF WALTER BRENNAN

Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Lynn, Massachusetts native, actor, singer, and Army Veteran, Walter  Brennan, on this the 49th anniversary of his death. He was born July 25, 1894 to Irish immigrants and during WWI enlisted in the Army where he served in France for two years. Upon his arrival home he worked as a reporter and real estate agent before taking up background extra parts in Universal films. One thing lead to another and 10 years later he made his move to MGM and became a supporting actor and eventually winning three Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor. His talent didn't stop at the big screen however as he dabbled in television, radio, and music. Today we have him on this 1966 Sunset Records release, The Country Heart Of Walter Brennan. Walter passed away September 21, 1974, age 80, from emphysema.
