Today we remember funk & soul producer, saxophone, trumpet, and flute player, Clarence "Satch" Satchell, of Ohio Players fame, on this, the 25th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 1995, age 55, after suffering a brain aneurysm. To honor his legacy, we spotlight their seventh studio album, Honey. Honey was released August 16, 1975 on the Mercury label and was produced by the band. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top Soul LPs chart. Three singles were released, "Sweet Sticky Thing"(#33 Hot 100, #1 R&B, #60 Canada), "Love Rollercoaster" (#1Hot 100, # 1 R&B, #2 Canada) , and "Fopp" (#30 Hot 100, #9 R&B, #43 Canada) .
