Our second selection is "So Very Hard to Go" by horn based R&B band Tower Of Power. Full disclosure : When I picked this selection, I thought the flip side, "Clean Slate" was the single, but I was mistaken. "So Very Hard to Go" was released April 1973 on their self titled third record on the Warner Brothers label. The tune reached #36 on the Easy Listening charts, #17 on the Hot 100, and #11 on the R&B Singles chart. For our purposes we'll spin the B-side this afternoon.
