SATURDAY'S SINGLES : APRIL WINE and THE IMPALAS

Good morning gang and welcome to the return of Saturday's Singles, the April Fool's edition. First our way back machine takes us to 1974 with the Canadian rock band, April Wine. The song, "I'm On Fire For You Baby" was a non album single, released on the Big Tree label and produced by  Doug Morris. It is b/w "Come On Along", from there third album, Electric Jewels. This track was produced by Ralph Murphy.

Our second single is  "Oh, What A Fool" (#86 Hot 100) by 50s doo wop group, The Impalas. The track was released in 1959 on Cub Records and written by Arthur Zwim and Harry Giosasi. It's B-side is "Sandy Went Away". The group was fronted by Joe "Speedo" Frazier, who passed away on this day in 2014, age 70.
