SATURDAY'S SINGLES : ROD STEWART and RIGHT SAID FRED

Good morning gang and welcome to a special edition of Saturday's Singles, a sexy number one edition. First up, we have British singer Rod Stewart with his 1978 Warner Brothers single, "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" February of 1979 saw the track land at #1 on the Hot 100, for a month. The song, from his 9th album,  Blondes Have More Fun, also clenched the top spot in Australia, Canada, Portugal, Spain, and the UK. It's B-side features the tune, "Scarred and Scared" from the same LP.

Our second sexy single comes to us via British group Right Said Fred. "I'm Too Sexy" was released in 1991 on the Charisma label. In addition to topping the Hot 100, on this weekend in '91, the track also landed at number one on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, Austria, and Australia. Our cassette single has both  the "7 Mix and the Spanish Version and the program is repeated on both sides. the song hailed from the group's debut record, Up.
