Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember one of the greatest of all time, The Man In Black, Johnny Cash. Today would have been his 89th Birthday. He passed away in 2003, age 71, of complications from diabetes. Words cannot describe how much he is missed. Rainbow, Cash's 70th studio album, was released October 28, 1985, on the Columbia label and produced by Chips Moman. The album's first track, "I'm Leaving Now", perhaps an ode to Columbia Records, as this was Cash's last album with them, was released as a single, but failed to chart. I recently heard the second song, a cover of of Kris Kristofferson's "Here Comes That Rainbow Again" and liked it so much, I purchased the album on Ebay.
