Their bassist, Nick Fortuna is celebrating his 75th Birthday today. Happy Birthday Nick ! "Hey Baby (They're Playing Our Song)" was released in 1967 on the Columbia label and produced by James William Guercio. The single reached #12 on the Hot 100, #9 on the Record World charts, #5 on the Cash Box, and #2 in Canada. The track hailed from their third album, Portraits, while it's B-side, "And Our Love", came from their second record, Time And Changes.

Our second Saturday's singles, "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter", by English beat rock and pop group, Herman's Hermits, was #1 on this day in 1965. The song, from their self titled debut was released in April 1965 on the MGM label and produced by Mickie Most. It also reached #1 in Canada, South Africa, and Australia. The flip side features, "I Gotta Dream On" would be released on their second US album, Herman's Hermits On Tour.
