SITVA - JOEY SCARBURY - AMERICA'S GREATEST HISTORY

Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate with Ontario, California born singer songwriter and pianist Joey Scarbury, as he celebrates his 65th Birthday. Happy Birthday Joey ! With him in mind, we spotlight his one and only album, America's Greatest Hero, produced by 80s theme song composer extraordinaire, Mike Post. The album, released in 1981 on the Elektra label, features Scarbury's best known song, "Theme from The Greatest American Hero (Believe It or Not)", from the superhero comedy drama, starring William Katt as teacher Ralph Hinkley, Robert Culp as FBI agent Bill Maxwell, and Connie Sellecca as lawyer Pam Davidson. It ran for three seasons on ABC. The LP birthed two singles, the theme (#2 Hot 100, #3 Adult Contemporary) and "When She Dances" (#49 Hot 100). Herb Pederson, whom we've met and gotten an autograph appears as a background vocalist.
