Good morning Monday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we gleefully celebrate the 76th Birthday of vocalist/guitarist Boz Scaggs. Happy Birthday Boz ! To commemorate the date, we spotlight his early work on Steve Miller Band's Children Of The Future. Children Of The Future was originally released June 1968 on the Capitol label and produced by Glyn Johns. It peaked at #134 on the Billboard 200. To me the record seems to be split in sound by it's sides. Side A has a psychedelic feel to it, which I was not used to hearing from Steve, whereas the second side is more in line with blues rock and more similar to what I'm used to hearing from SMB. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this album.
