Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember guitarist and founding member, Mark Reale, who passed away on this day 10 years ago, age 56, complications related to Crohn's disease. We also use this post to pay tribute to vocalist, Rhett Forrester, who was murdered January 22, 1994 during a carjacking. He was age 37. Both of these musicians were in the New York City based, heavy metal band, Riot, and their 4th studio album, Restless Breed, is our subject of focus today. Restless Breed was released May 21, 1982 on the Elektra label and produced by Steve Loeb and Billy Arnell. Among the originals on the album, is a cool little cover of the Animals' "When I Was Young". After Reale's death, at the request of his Father, the remaining bandmembers changed their moniker to Riot V (as in 5, because the band has had five vocalists throughout it's career).
