Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember English singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Alvin Lee, best known as the lead vocalist/guitarist for the blues rock band Ten Years After, on this, the 9th anniversary of his passing. He died in 2013, age 68, from surgery complications. With him in mind, we spotlight his 4th solo album, Ride On by Alvin Lee & Ten Years Later ( the power trio he formed after the demise of Ten Years After). The LP, released in 1979 on RSO Records, peaked at #158 on the Billboard 200 and the sides are divided into Stage (side 1) and Studio (side 2). This is another one of our albums with no album cover, so I'll post a stock photo so we'll know what we're listening at.
