Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we celebrate the 69th Birthday of guitarist, keyboardist, vocalist, and founding member of the rock band Ambrosia, David Pack. Happy Birthday David ! In honor of his big day, we spotlight the group's self titled debut album. Ambrosia was released February of 1975 on the 20th Century Fox label and produced by Freddie Piro. The LP peaked at #22 on the Billboard 200 and gave birth the two singles ; "Holdin' on to Yesterday" (#46 Easy Listening, #37 Canada, #36 the Netherlands, #18 Cash Box, #17 Hot 100) and "Nice, Nice, Very Nice" (#63 Hot 100). The latter song's lyrics are from a poem by Kurt Vonnegut. The red $2 sticker on our copy tells me it came from the now Legendary J.R.'s Junk Trunk.
