Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember New Mexico born animator, voice actor, cartoonist, musician, and the man you put the Hanna in Hanna Barbera, William Hanna, on what would have been his 111th Birthday. He passed away in 2001, age 90 from esophageal cancer. Along with his partner, Joseph Barbera, the duo created such childhood favorites as The Flintstones, The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, The Smurfs, and Yogi Bear. Our tip of the hat to him comes in the form of this 1977 Columbia Special Products release, Snagglepuss Tells The Story Of The Wizard Of Oz. As in the cartoon Snagglepuss is voiced by Daws Butler.
