Good mourning my victims, err, I mean guests , and welcome back to Sunday and the Halloween 2021 edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we wind down our Sinister and Spooktacular Countdown Of Sound with this 1958 Caedmon Records release, Basil Rathbone Reads Edgar Allan Poe. This was the first of three EAP reading records Rathbone did later in his life. On this one he recites such favorites as The Raven, The Masque Of The Red Death, and The Black Cat. One selection, Annabel Lee, has been a huge influence on my own Poetry and I think it was in the 8th grade, that we were studying Poe and had to choose a something of his to recite in front of the class. Annabel Lee was my choice and I aced it. 

So Happy Halloween gang and be sure to check back about dark thirty as we share a spooky take from Poe and Basil.
